Medication/Toxic Substances

Ototoxic medicine such as antibiotics(gentamicin, polymyxin B, erythromycin, vancomycin, and neomycin), diuretics (water pills such as Lasix, bumetanide, ethacrynic acid or furosemide), aspirin, Cancer medications( carboplatin, mechlorethamine, and vincristine), Quinine medications(used of malaria), antidepressants damage our hearing temporary as a result of heavy doses.

Earwax

Ear wax coagulation(clotting) protects our ear canal from the external environment and minimizes the growth of bacteria.if ear wax accumulated in excess amount for the long term it becomes too hard to wash away naturally then it affects hearing and cause hearing loss or irritation that leads to tinnitus.

  • High blood pressure and Hypertension – Some factors that increase patient blood pressure, such as stress, alcohol, and caffeine, can make tinnitus more noticeable.
