The people with mild to severe hearing loss cannot take benefit from the Apple AirPods.
Apple Wireless AirPods Work As a Hearing Aid
Apple’s AirPods are wireless headphone which connects with a simple one-tap set-up to the entire Apple ecosystem. When Apple announced the launch last year and thousands of consumers get excited about the idea of turning them into an inexpensive and powerful hearing aid.
People with normal or mild hearing loss use this Fennex app because it helps them to listen to sound smoothly. Investors are claiming to help everyday users to hear better when they need it.
Fennex relies on Apple technology for its establishment because of its high-quality sound and a dual beam-forming microphone system. AirPods are the most technologically advance and most people are using Personal Sound Amplification Product (PSAP).
This is a free app but it charges on certain features. As this app is new. Therefore, the founder of this app Mari says, the app is slated to gain features that will help reduce unwanted noise and feedback.
This app works perfectly fine with wired headphones. However, when it comes to the wireless solution with AirPods, Fennex is just at the beginning of the journey.
However, the app is still in working and providing positive feedback on specific usage. There are also two limitations for mainstream and wider adoptions.
With apple airpods, you can now access multiple features and can enhance your listening experience
Volume Boost: Amplify the sound around you
Balance: Regulate the volume of the left and right speaker
Compression: Apply sound compression to amplify or limit sounds
Sound Presents: Keep or remove high/low-pitched sounds
Equalizer: Adapt treble, mid and bass sounds too, according to your personal hearing preferences
Conversation Focus: Select among 4 different microphones
According to CEO Alex Mari, the company is dealing with an excessive time delay between the recorded sounds and when it’s streamed out wirelessly. This latency issue of the app was showing the link between the app and the Bluetooth technology working at present. When Apple AirPods uses Fennex, there was a registration of a 130ms delay. A fraction of a second but still it is very difficult for the human brain to process.”
So, it’s a complementary and innovative solution that can provide some real benefit to people with some degree of hearing difficulties.
The company has also launched a 2.0 version of this mobile app.
Fennex 2.0 includes new features, such as a simplified user interface and a feature that enables or disables the “hearing correct” function based on results of the hearing test. Overall the company says the update offers “greater personalization of the hearing experience”.
