Treatment of Colic

  • Get close: Not only does wearing, cuddling or carrying you baby make you closer to you and happy( and after 9 months of constant closeness, that may be just what baby’s crying for), but it may help you to understand better the needs your baby.
  • Swaddle: Put a blanket in the dryer and when it is still hot, wrap the blanket around your child. The tears of the child can dry out with a sense of warmth and safety.
  • Make white noise. A vacuum cleaner or a hump of hump can give comfort to your child (it reminds them of the womb). You may also want to invest in a white noise machine.
  • Play soothing music. A crying child can be made by quiet singing or even the classical music CD that runs slowly. While the other babies may enjoy the sounds of nature or the voice of a fan.
  • Offer a pacifier: It seems that some colic children want to eat at all times – and this can happen because sucking makes them happy, not because of hunger. So if your child is rushing always and the adequate feeding does not satisfy him, then you can take the help of pacifier. Check with your doctor if you are not sure that the child is getting enough food to eat, though.
  • Get out of the house. Occasionally, taking the baby to out of the house then it can make your baby full of joy. The movement can also help. So, make your child walk in the stroller or a sling or carrier, or tie him in the car seat for the drive (but if the car continues to cry, then go home and out – otherwise it can distract you from the road.
